The Promise of Progress

Fight Gone Bad

339(PR)

Today's breakdown:
WB: 32|26|23
SD: 25||16|14
BJ: 40|30|35
PP: 23|17|18
RM: 14|12|14

Sumo's and push-press continue to be a challenge... think that's the worst I 've ever done on row too. I know for a fact on round 2 the row computer didn't start counting for at least 5 pulls. Not sure about the other rounds. All in all I'm not happy with today's results. Wish I had someone to count for me cuz I kept fucking with the clipboard in between stations, but my brain can't keep track of all that shiz when I'm getting  my ass handed to me. Still a PR though.

No extra-credit today.

Cool Up

21-15-9
Box Jumps, 24"
Kettlebell Swings, 1.5 pood
Sumo Deadlift High-Pulls, 40kg

5:56 rx'd... didn't do much of a warm-up for this. Thought we would do sumthing heavy, but didn't. SDHP's were inefficient and a time killer. Did 4 sets of 60+ double-unders after. Think 69 was my best.

As Always

7 rounds for time:
10 sumo deadlift high-pull, 40kg
15 burpees

Ran rx'd with this and scored a 11:42... high-pulls felt good and I went unbroken until rounds 6 and 7. Burpees sucked.

More Wall-Balls... Yay!

Fight Gone Bad

This was my second FGB, and my first to break the 300 mark... push-press and sumo's are my weakest links.

303 final

Fight Gone Bad

For those that don't know the FGB WOD consists of 3 rounds of the following:

Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20″ box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories)

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of “rotate”, the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

I participated in my first FGB on January 16, 2009. Immediately after I began to question the logic in my commitment to the CFDC.
